The Library of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka successfully conducted two literacy-enhancement programs at Padavi Mahasen National School on 4 November 2025, strengthening its outreach and community engagement efforts.

The first program, titled “Pothen Lokayata Gamnak”, was delivered to Grade 8 students with the objective of developing information literacy competencies and promoting a strong reading culture among young learners.

Additionally, the “Poth Peraherak” program was organized for Grade 6 and 7 students, offering them an interactive and enjoyable platform to connect with books and library resources.

Both sessions were conducted by the Librarian of Rajarata University, who served as the resource person for the day.

These initiatives reflect the university library’s continuous commitment to supporting school communities, enhancing literacy, and inspiring students to cultivate lifelong reading habits.
