The Library of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka has recently published the Library Handbook 2026, providing students and other library users with an updated guide to accessing and making effective use of the University’s library services and resources.
The handbook presents the general rules, regulations, and guidelines governing library use, covering both the Main Library and the University’s branch libraries. It brings together essential information to help users understand library procedures, their rights and responsibilities, and the guidelines they are expected to follow when using library facilities and services.
In addition, the handbook provides updated information on library services, relevant procedures, and contact details, enabling users to access important information conveniently and communicate with the appropriate library staff when necessary. It is intended to serve as a practical reference for students and other members of the University community, supporting their academic activities and encouraging the effective and responsible use of library resources.
To improve accessibility and facilitate convenient access to information, the digital version of the handbook is available for download through the Institutional Repository of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. Library users are encouraged to access and refer to the handbook to familiarise themselves with the latest guidelines and available library services.
