A vibrant Reading Camp was held on 27 October 2025 at Mihintale Pathiraja Thennakoon Primary School as part of the school’s Literature Month celebrations. The program was conducted by library professionals including Mr. Asoka Sirwardana, Mrs. W. P. T. Dilrukshi, Mrs. Hansamali Wickramasooriya, and Ms. Kaushalya Wijerathne, who together facilitated a range of engaging literacy activities.
Throughout the event, students took part in storytelling sessions, guided reading exercises, creative tasks, and interactive games designed to inspire a love for reading and enhance language skills. The enthusiastic participation of 175 students contributed to the success of the program and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in strengthening early literacy.
Teachers and school administrators appreciated the meaningful contribution made by the resource team, noting the positive impact on students’ confidence, creativity, and interest in reading.
