The long-cherished dream of the students of the Faculty of Technology, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, was realized on 14 January 2026 with the official inauguration of the “Forum” New Library Complex of the Faculty of Technology.
This three-storey state-of-the-art facility has been meticulously designed to support academic and research activities across technological disciplines. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, spacious reading halls, and advanced e-library facilities, the new library complex will enhance students’ learning experiences by providing improved access to academic resources, collaborative study spaces, and a conducive environment for independent and group learning.
The inauguration ceremony was held in a grand manner with the distinguished presence of the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Janaka Pushpakumara, the Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Deans of other faculties, the Librarian, and members of the academic, executive, and non-academic staff, followed by the active participation of students of the Faculty of Technology. The ceremony was further enriched by the blessings and patronage of the Chancellor, Ven. Ethalawetunawewa Gnanatilake Thero marking the occasion as a moment of pride and progress for the entire university community.
