Kegalu Balika Vidyalaya organized a guest lecture and prize-giving event to commemorate Reading Month 2024. The event was held on February 10, 2025, from 9:00 AM onwards at the school auditorium.
Dr. P. Wanigasooriya, Head of the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Kelaniya, and Mr. U. Ahamed, Assistant Librarian, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, attended as the chief guest and delivered guest lectures.
The librarian of the Kegalla District Public Library and school librarians from various schools in the Kegalla district also graced the occasion. Following the event, a brief discussion occurred on enhancing digital library services in school libraries across the district.
