A reading camp for the fourth grade children of Medawachchiya Model School under the theme “Let’s make time for books”(පොතට වෙලාවක් වෙන් කරමු) was held at the Medawachchiya Children’s Park on 12 September 2025 in conjunction with the National Reading Month. The program, organized by the Medawachchiya Pradeshiya Sabha and the Pradeshiya Sabha Library, was resourced by the Librarian of the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, and encouraged the development of reading habits and creativity in the children. This initiative highlights the commitment of the University Library to promote a strong reading culture in the community.
