The Library of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka has initiated an outreach program for the members of the ‘Sisumina” library reading club, Gampola. This club consists with both school children and the adults. The main objectives of the programme were enhancing reading habits of its members, aware them about the services and facilities of the library, and providing an inspiration for school children on importance of obtaining university education. Mrs. W.P.T. Dilrukshi, the Acting Librarian and Mrs. Hansamali Wickramasooriya, Assistant Librarian provided technical expertise for the programme.

An orientation programme was conducted for the 2022 batch in the Faculty of Agriculture on 25th and 26th of September 2023. The aims of this programmes was introducing the library and its services to the students, and introducing Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). Students had the opportunity to physically visit and explore the library during this programme.

The Library of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka organized an outreach program for school students of the Yakalla Maha Vidyalaya, Anuradhapura on August 15, 2023. During this event, Mrs. W.P.T.
