A practical training session on Mendeley Reference Manager was conducted for final-year students of the Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, on 20 and 21 May 2026 at the Computer Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture. The programme was held in two sessions: 20 May 2026 from 1.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. and 21 May 2026 from 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. The training provided hands-on experience in installing and using Mendeley for reference management, citation generation, bibliography creation, and integration with Microsoft Word. Students were guided on organizing references effectively and applying proper citation practices to support academic writing and research activities.
The programme was conducted by Ms. M.G.H.K. Wijerathne, Assistant Librarian, Main Library. The training enhanced students’ research competencies and their ability to manage references efficiently for dissertations, research projects, and other academic work, thereby supporting the development of high-quality scholarly outputs.
